Billing Terms

Version 2026-10-01

These Billing Terms are part of the API Terms between HAKKO AI PTE. LTD. ("Cuddler", "we") and your organization. Amounts are in US dollars.

1. Prepaid balance

  • The API is paid for from your organization's prepaid USD balance. There is no monthly fee and no minimum commitment.
  • A job can start only if your available balance covers its hold (see section 3).
  • Your balance is a prepayment for API usage. It is not a deposit, it earns no interest, and it cannot be transferred to another organization or exchanged for cash, except as section 6 allows.

2. Prices

  • Prices are published on the pricing page and returned by GET /v1/models, per 1 million tokens, for each model and resolution, with a separate rate for jobs that include a video input.
  • Each successful video is charged on the token count the model reports for it, multiplied by the applicable rate and rounded up to the nearest $0.000001.
  • Failed, blocked and canceled jobs are not charged. We do not retry or re-generate jobs on your behalf.
  • Each job is charged at the price list in effect when it was created, identified by its price_version.
  • Price changes: we give at least 14 days' notice of a price increase by email and on the changelog. Price decreases may apply immediately.

3. Holds and charges

  • When a job is created, we hold its estimated price plus a margin from your available balance. The hold is not a charge.
  • When the job succeeds, we charge the actual price and release the rest of the hold immediately. When it fails or is canceled, we release the whole hold.
  • In rare cases the actual price can exceed the hold (for example because of a model's minimum token rule); the actual price is still charged.
  • Your organization has a daily spending limit (see Limits); jobs that would exceed it are refused and not charged.

4. Top-ups

  • You add funds by paying a Stripe invoice, issued to your billing email, in USD.
  • Bank transfer: minimum $1,000, no fee from us. Transfer and bank charges on your side are yours.
  • Card: minimum $50, plus a card processing fee of 4% shown as a separate line on the invoice.
  • Funds are added to your balance when the invoice is paid (for bank transfers, when we receive the funds). The card processing fee is not added to your balance.
  • We may change the minimum amounts, fees or payment methods with 14 days' notice.

5. Expiry

Your balance is valid for 12 months after your latest top-up; each top-up extends it for the whole balance. Balance that is still unused when it expires is forfeited.

6. Refunds

Top-ups and balance are non-refundable, except that if we end the API service for your organization without cause, we refund the unused balance to you. Charges for a job that we confirm was billed in error are credited back to your balance.

7. Taxes

  • Prices and fees exclude taxes. You pay any taxes, duties or levies that apply to your purchases, other than taxes on our income.
  • For businesses registered in Japan, Japanese consumption tax on these services is handled under the reverse charge mechanism (リバースチャージ方式): you report and pay it yourself. Our invoices say so.
  • Where Singapore goods and services tax applies, we add it to the invoice as required by law.

8. Invoices, records and disputes

  • Invoices and receipts are issued through Stripe. Your usage and charges are available through GET /v1/usage and, on request, as a monthly statement.
  • If you think a charge is wrong, write to [email protected] within 60 days, with the job ids. We will review it and correct any error.
  • Please contact us before disputing a card payment with your bank. We may suspend an organization while a payment dispute is open.

9. Changes

We may update these Billing Terms under the change rules in the API Terms. The English version is the binding one.
